Gabriel Augusto Pardo is owner and director of GAP Fitness Academy, Originally located in Alexandria, Virginia and now here at your convenience in Mesa, Arizona serving the East Valley. GAP Fitness Academy was established in 1997 and is a training fitness center providing personal training and instruction in a total fitness program. The services that Gabriel Augusto Pardo also includes are : Personal Fitness Training, Fitness Boot-Camps, GAP Elite Self Defense Martial Arts, which includes some of the best martial arts in the world : Black Belt HapKiDo, Black Belt Combat HapKiDo, Practical Knowledge of Kung- Fu, Jiu Jitsu, Karate, Kick- Boxing, Muay Thai, Mr. Pardo is in the process of being certified as a Krav Maga Instructor. Senior training (Over 60 Specialist) Zumba Fitness Instructor, and Hatha Yoga Instructor.
Gabriel is a native of Bogota, Colombia. He received a College Certificate as a Fitness Instructor with honors, Cum Laude, from Northern Virginia Community College in 1995. Mr Pardo is certified personal trainer by The American Council on Exercise ( ACE ), and The American Institute of Fitness Educators ( AIFE ). Black Belt in HapKiDo by Escuela Chang de Artes Marciales Kung-Fu HapKiDo Republica de Colombia. Black Belt in Combat HapKiDo by The International Combat HapKiDo Federation. Gabriel Received Hatha Yoga training at the early age of 7 and continues to practice and teach this discipline. He began Martial Arts at the age of 5 and received the first Black Belt at the age of 15. He holds a Black Belt Degree in Martial Arts and currently continues Martial Arts training.
Mr. Pardo’s professional history includes employment as a Personal Trainer for the Sport and Health Corporation’s Watergate Health Club facility in Washington, DC. While there he was honored with the distinction of being selected to the top 25 category of the Sport and Health Clubs Personal Trainers, citing continual praises and compliments from his clients. Mr. Pardo’s clientele include local and national celebrities, super models, sports figures, doctors, lawyers, nurses, and a variety of other professional, housewives and senior citizens.
Mr. Pardo has presented free workshops on fitness and health to local communities and given self-defense demonstrations to at-risk youth. In the Fall of 1996, he presented a Fitness and Nutrition Workshop to the Department of Commerce employees at its National Technical Information Service ( NTIS ) agency. The NTIS Health Unit, who sponsored the workshop, hailed it as the “Best Ever.” Commerce People magazine mentioned the workshop in its January/February 1997 issue.
